Read QR codes without a phone camera
QR codes arrive as screenshots, email attachments, PDFs and downloaded posters all the time — and pointing your phone at your own monitor is awkward. This scanner decodes QR codes straight from image files: drag one in, browse for it, or simply paste a screenshot with Ctrl+V. It recognizes what's inside too — website links become clickable, WiFi codes reveal the network name and password, and vCards, emails, phone numbers and payment codes are labeled clearly. Inverted (light-on-dark) codes work as well.
FAQ
Why wasn't my QR code detected?
The usual culprits: the code is tiny in a huge photo (crop closer), it's blurry, or there's glare across it. Screenshots decode nearly 100% of the time; photos work best when the QR fills a good part of the frame.
Can I scan with my webcam?
This tool reads images — which covers screenshots and photos without any camera permissions. A live camera mode is on the roadmap.
Is it safe to scan unknown QR codes here?
Safer than scanning with your phone — you see the full decoded content BEFORE deciding to open anything, and nothing is uploaded anywhere.
