FAQ

How accurate is the picked color?
Exact — the tool reads the actual pixel value from the image data. On very large photos the preview is scaled down for speed, so neighboring pixels may blend slightly; zoom your source image beforehand if you need one specific pixel.
How are the dominant colors calculated?
The image's pixels are grouped into color buckets and the six most frequent groups are averaged — a fast, reliable way to find the image's defining palette. Transparent areas are ignored.
Can I convert the picked color to other shades?
Yes — copy the HEX and open it in our Color Picker, which generates shades, tints and CMYK values.
