Bangladesh's grading system

SSC/HSC: A+ (80-100) = 5.00, A (70-79) = 4.00, Aโˆ’ (60-69) = 3.50, B (50-59) = 3.00, C (40-49) = 2.00, D (33-39) = 1.00, F = 0. 4th subject rule: subtract 2 points from the optional subject's grade point and add what remains to the total, then divide by the number of main subjects โ€” GPA maxes out at 5.00. An F in any main subject makes the overall result F.

University CGPA: multiply each course's grade point by its credits, sum them, and divide by total credits โ€” on a 4.00 scale. Enter all courses for one semester to get SGPA, or all courses across every semester to get CGPA.

Frequently asked questions

How does the 4th subject rule work?
Say you scored A+ (5 points) in your 4th subject โ€” 5 โˆ’ 2 = 3 points get added to the total, but the total is still divided by the number of main subjects only. If you score 2 or less, nothing gets added. Check "4th" on the row that holds your 4th subject.
What happens if I get an F in one subject?
An F in a main subject makes the overall result F โ€” the tool will show F too. An F in the 4th subject doesn't affect the GPA.
Where do I find my university's grade points?
Typically A+ = 4.00, A = 3.75, Aโˆ’ = 3.50, B+ = 3.25... โ€” this varies slightly by university, so select the grade point shown on your own transcript.
